Seven Sacraments
THE LORD JESUS INSTITUTED SEVEN SACRAMENTS & the Church groups them as follows…

…the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spiritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.” (CCC 1213) |
"By the sacrament of Confirmation [the Baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit.” (CCC 1285) |
“At the Last Supper, on the night he was betrayed, our Savior instituted the Eucharistic sacrifice of his Body and Blood. This he did in order to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross throughout the ages until he should come again, and so to entrust to his beloved Spouse, the Church, a memorial of his death and resurrection: a sacrament of love, a sign of unity, a bond of charity, a Paschal banquet ‘in which Christ is consumed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us.’” (CCC 1323) |

“As the Father has sent me, so I send you…. Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” (John 20:21-23) “The whole power of the sacrament of Penance consists in restoring us to God’s grace and joining us with him in an intimate friendship.” (CCC 1468) |
By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them. And indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ. (CCC 1499) |

Anointing of the sick is available for those who: struggle with a serious illness | are undergoing surgery | have been hospitalized Schedule an Appointment to request a visit from Father to administer the Sacrament of Anointing. The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament. (CCC 1601) |
Prayer to Know my Vocation Lord Jesus, I believe that you have created me for a special mission. From the moment I was conceived in my mother’s womb, you have been preparing my path to Heaven. Lord, show me your will for my life. Help me to trust you, no matter the cost. Help me to believe that I will be happiest in doing your will. Give me the grace to say yes to what you ask of me today, so that I can say yes to my vocation when it becomes clear to me. I make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen. |
