St. Helen's was founded on July 30, 1974 with the late Pastor Edward J. Wajda leading our small community.

The first Masses were held at the Olive Restaurant on Sunday, August 25, at 8am and 10am with about 40 families present. By 1977 we had grown to 420 families and it was on May7 and 8 that we celebrated the first Masses in our new building.

In 2007 Father Bruce Downs became our new pastor.  In 1989 we welcomed Father Louie and in 2006 Father Jim, our current Associate Pastors.  In 2006 we had almost 2,600 families and by God's grace we continue to welcome more families into our community.

Saint Helena was the Empress mother of Constantine the Great.
While on a pilgrimage
to the Holy Land she discovered the True Cross.
Through these, he has bestowed on us the precious and very great promises, so that through them you may come to share in the divine nature, after escaping from the corruption that is in the world because of evil desire.
